Rachel Alexandra - what Sylvester said. And they try and knock a gal horse out? They are horses. How funny.

My long time partner was Sasha. She was 1/4 malamute, 1/4 great dane, and half golden retriever. She was very large. I fixed her right away, of course.

I spent time with her in parks with many dogs so had brought her up to place nice with others, but we were up in the mountains one day and these 3 unfixed males came around bugging her. She sat back on her haunches, ignoring them. I noticed a pack of guy people watching, the dogs people I reckon, laughing and joking about it. Seriously, some guys get off on their male dog bothering a female dog?

Anyways, her father was 1/2 malamute 1/2 great dane, and we were around him a lot when she was a pup and he loved to play with her and teach her to fight his style... a lot of up on your hind legs... quite different from the usual dog.

Sasha was losing patience and looked at me and I nodded to her... next thing she did was in an amazing flash... rise up on her hind legs while spinning around, a front paw slamming against one of the dog's neck and taking him to the ground, holding him there while she bared her teeth and growled at the other two, and she had a great deep growl. They ran and she released the other who ran after them.

The guys looked devasted. very stange. It was dogs, yet a gal dog sending theirs running seemed an affront. very strange, indeed.
