On foreign policy issues Obama is following Bush to a large extent. One can argue that he is worse than Bush if he is just a more effective salesman for the same old policy of perpetual war in the name of Israel and empire with a few modest tactical shifts. The ability of American liberals to deceive themselves never ceases to amaze me. Have we already forgotten that It was the Democrat Johnson who began the Vietnam War? Is the savage slaughter of people in Afghan/Pak bad when the Bushies do it, but good when Obama does it?
