If you read the Gnostic gospels, written MUCH closer to when Jeezuz lived than the mainstream bible, The Gnostic gospels were written MUCH LATER than the gospels in the NT. And that is the view of mainstream scholars. Search google for April DeConick of Rice University and read what she has to say about the Gospel of Judas. Jeezuz thought he was a MAN who had elevated himself to possessing an understanding of God. He thought that ALL MEN could enjoy his status of being if they followed his teachings. That someone like you (and I don't need to relate it all for those who have read this thread - just remember key words like abortions, pregnant, laundries, whores, homeless women, orgies, trading dope) who hates Christians and everything to do with Christianity and Christian morals, still wants to identify with the person of Jesus is powerful testimony to the fact that Jesus is the most charismatic figure in all of human history. Even dedicated servants of the devil can't help but praise him although they twist his message, and isn't that amazing. In the words of a Roman soldier present at the crufixion "Truly this man was the son of God."
