Because in reality, that's all Obama is: a genial, pleasant-looking, young, liberal fascist. He is so far to the left of any other President we've had that it is actually frightening. Glory be to God. Nirvana has come to these disunited states.

Just beautiful -- Obama's fascism with a friendly face There was this idea of "Socialism with Human face", which was a exhibited by the Prague Spring in 1968. The "Humah face" part meant that instead of the strict "dictatorship of the proletariat", meaning total collectivist state power with little or no individual freedoms, the experiment was to indeed allow some individual freedoms. These freedoms were quickly embraced by people in the arts, media, film-making, press etc. The Soviets quickly realized that there is no room for individual freedom in a collectivist state. Granting individual freedoms weakens the collectivist state. The stronger the individual, the weaker the collective. So the Soviets sent in the tanks to sort things out. Obama has a different starting point. The state is not all powerful in the US, individual freedoms are still here, both on paper and in reality. I think he is trying to grab power for the state while maintaining the illusion that individual freedoms are not suffering. He needs to maintain this illusion long enough to get to the point of no return - and long enough before his supporters turn on him. (Not all Obama voters are Socialists) He may succeed. He as all of the Hollywood and media illusionists working for him... Joe
