Are you claiming that Keynesian economics is fundamentally incorrect?

My imperfect understanding of Keynesian economics includes government reducing spending during good times so that the resources are available to increase spending in bad times. I think you alluded to this with the badly misused comment. Since there seems to be something in human nature that precludes government reducing spending in good times, I tend to think of it as fundamentally incorrect. It may be theoretically correct, and a different species might even apply it with good result, but if it can't be applied with this species one might reasonably consider it flawed.

Like socialism or communism, the argument is often made that they would work fine if only the 'right' people were involved. I tend to dismiss that since when I look around I see people, but I don't see any 'right' people.

Just my 2 cents, and now off to dinner.

Yes, I'm claiming that Keynes would repudiate your views.
