What's really amazing is that the nuts who believe that don't even stop to think that they measured years differently back in the past. Anyone honestly think people lived to be 150-200 years old back when there was no medicine, diet was restricted, and life was rough?

Yeah, yeah, God did it. That's their answer to everything because they don't know how to think.

the bible *does not* teach the earth is 6k years old.

-----------------
Gen 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
-----------------

there is absolutely no indication as how much time passed between the end of verse 1 and the beginning of verse 2.

for example, "john was born in 1970. john earned his degree in mechanical engineering" does not mean john earned his degree in 1970 at the time he was born.

yes, certain people claiming to be religious can't seem to be able to grasp this not so subtle nuance, but that's not the fault of the bible's author.

as an aside, the bible *is* clear that the universe was created - at some prior point it didn't exist. albert einstein died believing the physical universe was eternal.

the bible's author vs albert einstein + thousands of years of science not available to the person who penned genesis 1:1 - heads up. mono a mono.

anyone care to comment whom science later vindicated?
