Brucie, we can see how religions change their founders words and teachings in order to perpetuate themselves and amass power very clearly in the Mormon Church. It has an entire school at Brigham Young University devoted to Mormon apologetics - that is, making sense of Joseph Smith's often nonsense, explaining how some of his writing is seemingly plagiarized from earlier sources, explaining away his support of polygamy, fast talking past his total bullshit "reformed Egyptian" description of what was on the Golden Tablets he was given - and on and on and on..
Additionally, the church buys and buries historical documents (even fakes!) that cast their religion in a bad light.

The poor Mormons have only had a little over a hundred years with the foundation texts written in English and contemporaneous history also written in English. You Jeezuz-religious complex people have had TWO THOUSAND years, periods of total religious control of governments and foundation texts written in various antique languages. The "Bible" you worship is a political document constructed by church committees to sell the distorted message they WANTED to sell. Nothing more.
