>> It turns out Cheney is an ASYMMETRIC threat they were unprepared for and for which they still have no counter. Despite his low public approval numbers, he's jammed up a popular president and a powerful speaker with little help from the party or the press.

This is so right. They thought they had a punching bag in Cheney, and they've found out he can punch back hard. Without a doubt, the best VP in American history, he has sat quietly and taken it -- throughout the 8 years. And now, his political life over, he is hammering them with the facts and they deserve it.

This isn't over. I was really pleased to see Liz Cheney on ABC this morning, slugging away at the total nitwits like Katrina V.

I hope Cheney will keep up the fight, and I hope a few others will have the balls to join the fight. If he gets nothing more than the ousting of Pelosi, a scourge, it will have been worth it.
