they tortured for political reasons, not to 'keep us safe'. That's downright gruesome... I'm not aware of any torture having been committed. The only thing that MIGHT be called torture is the waterboarding of three terrorists, and even that is arguable. As to "political" reasons, no rational person believes that. Surely, you're not referring to that crap at Abu Ghraib as "torture"? If you think that's torture, you don't have the slightest idea what real torture is. You really want this to go away... if I were you I would just shut up. No, I want the facts to come out. Thus far, Obama and the Ds have wanted selective facts to come out. I'm for letting it all out. Transparency. You know. Pelosi is the tip of the iceberg. The truth of the matter is that most Rs had the courage of their convictions. It seems that the Ds were all about waterboarding until Obama decided to make a campaign issue of it.

"You really want this to go away... if I were you I would just shut up." He won't. Some in the party have apparently decided that by pushing hard on Pelosi they will scare the Democrats away from a Truth Commission, which they desperately don't want. I won't think that is going to happen, though. The way it is going is that they will pillory Obama if there isn't an investigation of Pelosi at this point to find out what she knew and when she knew it. But any competent investigation is not going to limit itself to that.
