Basically, common sense. The process doesn't work this way. The CIA decides what techniques to apply to a particular detainee.

The idea that the CIA would respond to that kind of pressure is one more liberal slap in the face of the people who are most committed to keeping the country safe.

I would put it in the category of a claim bentway might make.
