JXM was 4 months old. I was holding him and watching his sister play in the front yard when a neighbor ran out of her house and over to me to say that JFK had been shot. Went inside to watch it unfold on a b&w TV. My dad was working for the AP at the time and was sent to Dallas immediately. He came back with fascinating stories, including the one about being the first person along with a guy from Life Magazine to watch the Zapruder film 76 times in a row. They were in a bidding war - Life won the rights from Zapruder.
