I wonder if Obama's speech included a bit of a 'jab'? In any case, the Catholic position on birth control certainly doesn't give it much credibility on it's emotional blubbering about the number of abortions in this country:

""He {Obama} added: "Let us work together to reduce the number of women seeking abortions. Let's reduce unintended pregnancies. Let's make adoption more available. . . . Let's honor the conscience of those who disagree with abortion, and draft a sensible conscience clause." ""

Hmmm... it's sort of sad that the Church has effectively religated itself to the backwaters of society with it's stance on birth control and it's villification of sex {including the strange and twisted issue of married priests} to the point that when the REAL issue worth discussing, abortion, comes up... they have zero credibility except among wacko's.
