Looks to me from the latest Gallup polls that Repub. and Dems are tied at about 32% each by party identification.

Oh...and BTW, there have always been ebbs and flows in the popularity of, and amount of control by, each party....Nothing new. The only thing constant about political fortunes is that they are ever changing....
