I'm a convenience shopper and don't see the advantage in closing dealerships.

Today's CAFE announcement IMO will put the final nail in Detroit. I have always thought rising prices would drive higher fuel economy car purchases. I guess I was wrong.

Watching Henderson on TV this am I cannot help but think he is working for Obama Motors and has to speak the company line.

This cannot end well. They are going to make cars no one wants. In addition - the costs will be so high fewer will be able to buy them.

In addition, how many billions will the government have to subsidize the development of the new cars?

I will look to buy new cars before this idiocy starts. By the time my 2012s wear out - I will be elderly and may enjoy my electric car. Hopefully not a wheel chair!
