As I have said, Tim... ANYONE with skin in the game can propose any plan of reorganization to the Court that they want to. There is no ban on ideas or plans..... However, this is more a case of 'Money talks and BS walks'. No one else has shown the slightest inclination to put forward any alternate plans that would rescue/reorganize the company --- and there certainly have been no other participants in the bankruptcy case willing to put forward the BIG BUCKS that are required to operate the company during this time in bankruptcy so that it is even possible to reorganize it into a more viable form. In the absence of any alternative proposals for the court to consider... and in the TOTAL ABSENCE of any other party willing to put up the Billions in cash required to assume the legal role in the bankruptcy reorganization of "debtor in possession", then the one plan is all that the judge will have before him to weigh.... Now, as far as your comment "shouldn't be followed"... as I have discussed above, since there ARE NO OTHER PLANS that have been presented to the court for consideration (proposing how to rescue/reorganize Chrysler), and none that will be coming, then OF COURSE this plan has to be considered/followed. There are NO OTHERS.
