From this week's Gulf of Mexico Newsletter:

Jim Day, Noble Drilling CEO, "said Noble is close to deciding on a new jackup rig design that the company will pursue. Noble has identified upcoming projects sutiable for a newbuild jackup. Industry should not be surprised if Noble begins cutting steel next year for a newbuild jackup tied to a contract."

MY COMMENT: My bet is that this new jackup design is the FGII JU-2000 and that Noble will be ordering more than one jackup from FGII later this year.

Don't let the Hong Kong flu steal your stocks. There are some mighty good buys out there right now. Today was tough -- and tmw may be tough too, who knows? -- but in a week or two it will all be forgotten and we will be back roaring again.

Yup, i think that all the rigs are still turning to the right.
I see lots of stocks that are down for no reason, but it still seems best to just add to my drillers.

NE wasn't mentioned in that article, IMHO it is way to cheap to pass up.
