In Greece, we visited Mykonos and Delos where we saw the ruins, some amazing stuff, Delos is an active archeological dig where they're still excavating the ancient ruins... we also visited Athens, the Parthenon and the Acropolis... in Turkey, we went to Istanbul, we visited the blue mosque in the middle of town... I went to their public men's room where they charge about a dollar you to go piss, it was a good think I only had to pee, there were no toilet seats, just a hole in the ground... and no toilet paper, just a small bucket of water and a filthy sponge... they haven't improved their toilet habits in more than 1,000 years...

The cruise itself was 28 days, it took six days to cross the Atlantic before we made landfall in Madera, a beautiful island about 425 miles off the coast of Portugal...

We also visited Naples and saw the ruins of Pompeii, now that was a sight, Mt. Vesuvius stands right next to the place and towers over it like a sleeping giant... it was something to see human bodies at the moment they were zapped from the super heated gasses and 40 feet of super hot volcanic ash...

Our trip wasn't all intellectual, we also went to Cannes for the film festival and met with some of my film partners from Italy and the U.S.... we also spent some time in Monte Carlo where we drove to Nice, France... Nice looks like a french impressionist painting, really nice, maybe that's why they call that town Nice... then, we spend a few days in Venice where we stayed at a hotel right on the Grand Canal, Venice is really neat...

I could go on, we visited lots of other places and have stories to tell about each place...<g>
