Right...since YOU would do such means the columnist would too, right? I said I can, not that I would. As for the columnist. 1 - He may not believe its false, but that doesn't mean it isn't. 2 - He may just be recording someone else's opinion. Either thinking it false himself (Its not dishonest to quote something you believe is false if the point is to represent what someone said), or not having an opinion about it, or agreeing with it (which isn't evidence for its truth) It's the womans opinion Exactly. Not evidence. A charge of "vigilantism" or "throwing in with hate groups", is rather serious and should be accompanied by actual evidence, not what amounts to "I saw someone snarl", or simple disagreement with the opinions of the people involved.
