Apparently Obama thinks his appointees can effectively run car companies, and that one of the best ways to do so is to kiss up to the unions at the expense of the seniority of senior creditors (who will thus be less likely to lend in the future), advertising (thus potentially reducing demand over time), and other concerns.

I was hoping the courts would take control away from the task farce. .... I guess that won't happen till Chapter 7!
