The connection they have yet to make is the impact of the heat of the Iraqi desert on these soldiers while carrying 50 lbs of army equipment and wearing heat retaining body armor.

My son tells me the summer in Iraq is a hell of a lot more comfortable than a summer in Texas.


Your son is from Arkansas where its both hot and humid six months out of the year if not more. Iraq is a dry heat so, of course, he might think its better. Now go to the guy from a northern state where its rarely hot and humid. Iraq will seem like hell on earth......esp carrying all that equipment and body armor.

Why do you argue every point? You are not nearly that smart nor experienced.
