I really had no idea my pm box was as full as it is - no way can I reply to all this. I'm fine On a fun level Jr. is just kickin @$$ in spring football. He had 3 td's last week (2 passing 1 rushing) and should have had 2 more passing. We don't keep stats but I do in my head. Junior went 6 for 10 (the 4 incomplete were ... well...3 were drops and the other one should have been caught as well but kids have a hard time with over the shoulder catches on the run). His passing yardage had to be around 140-175. He had 3 passes that were tossed about 20 yards but turned into 35-40 yard plays. He had 2 runs for about 30 yards 2 qb sacks and 4 total stops behind the line This was by far and away his best game ever - that's not just a proud daddy (although I found myself asking people I knew if they realized that was my boy LOL). He looks way better than I did at this age - he makes better decisions, is humble and just shows solid leadership. The coaches normally stay on the field and midway through the 3rd qtr I said lets call it in - he (and they) don't need us and they didn't. About the only thing I questioned (and I pointed it out to him after the gam - in private) is we were up 28-7 with 10 seconds left and he tossed a bomb that was caught and came within 3 yards of being a TD - I told him that was uncool. He then told me the kid called him noodle arm before the game - I asked him why he didn't tell me this because we'd have lit him up all game LOL. The Governors grandson plays on the team and I think he's coming in 2 weeks. He's a democrat but he's a nice guy. Anyhow - I AM a proud daddy - Jr. is playing great and his grades are in the area of 3.6-3.75 (based on the scale most of us are used to.) His teacher pointed out that he got a B- in art (I know her fairly well) and my response was - yeah but he got an A in gym....she knew I was kidding....kind of. She's a really good teacher and she's been go for and good to jr. He asked me the dreaded "hair" question this weekend - he's in 4th grade for god sakes! He seemed quite proud so I told him that guys with hair are old enough to mow the yard - he did so with a smile
