I'm afraid that FTEL has been screwed by the market. The timing could not have been worse...if FTEL (or the "partner") holds off on a release I think you might see the stock take a beating tomorrow...on the other hand if they do decide to go ahead with an announcement, the impact is going to be reduced due to the jitteriness (is that a word???) of the market. I cannot believe with all the people that were supposedly going, and taking their laptops, that not one person has taken the time to post to the masses....

To All, I only have a few minutes so I'll keep it short. Went to the demo in NYC - Beautiful location, 50th floor of a downtown sky scraper with window-walls on 3 sides. Breathtaking view. First class food and drinks. The 2.5 million sale was to a company called Intrine (sp?). Wasn't much info about them. The turnout was less than expected, probably due to the market massacre earlier in the day. There was a reporter from Internet Telephony. Seemed very knowledgable about the technology. When we (several investers after the demo) pressed him for a comparison with other gateways he has tested he stated he couldn't give a good answer without having access to a couple of units to run tests on, he said Franklin didn't provide him any evaluation units. Frank spoke of the overall structure and history of the company and the relationship with FNet. More tommorrow if no one else checks in by then - I have to go to work now.

OK guys, the partner is INTRINE Communications, a private developmental company that purchased the 2.5M because they need it for their own product. So now we know :<(
Their product is making it possible to only need one # for phone, fax, beeper etc.

But, FTEL is in negotiation with a company that has many POPS around the country. Estimated date of contract completion anywhere from 1 day to "I don't know".

Some other SI people at the meeting. Some investment people, the publisher of CTI Magazine, on computer telephony( ctimag.com ). The demo, hang my head in shame, was not directly heard by me but by my friend, also an investor, and he was impressed with it. By tomorrow SI should get reports from the other SI attendees. Meeting attendees were also given phone cards that will allow us to call free over the internet until the new year. This will be a major testing ground. There are also 10 advanced features that will be rolled out one/month

The meeting was high up over Wall Street (50th Floor) with a incredible view over the southern tip of Manhattan with the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and the Hudson River. Drinks and canape's after the formal meeting was over.

When someone asked Frank about expected revenue he said would it be too hard to believe a billion dollars in a year (That's what I THINK I heard him say standing tall by the lectern. ---

Spoke with Sparrow. The program with digital express is not yet operational. When I asked about broadcasting and competition in that arena Sparrow said that where FTEL's program is unique is that the downloaded data can be sent to individual PC's rather than to a center where people have to get together to get the information.

Now, post meeting, I have questions I would of preferred having before, like why did GTE put in such a big cable and how and why was FTEL sandwiched between WORLDCOM and, who was that other company Raleigh?
