Rick, well said. Problem is, though, that we have to make a distinction between true Y2K sector believers, and those hoping to ride a wave.

Those hoping to ride a wave probably were looking at earnings and bailed when it became obvious the much anticipated big bucks were still a ways away. They'll be back, you can count on it.

The longs among us are left with quite a few bargains. [Of course, the market is now filled with bargains (gg).] Six months from now I'll bet most of the Y2K stocks we follow here will have at least doubled (again), if not sooner!

P.S. Here's a thought to ponder... does carnage in the Y2K sector foreshadow the market in general? Hmmm.....
