I messed up while voting this evening. A man at the registration table with some sort of badge from County Election District said "Good that you are here to vote to support the teachers by voting yes. Otherwise the state will need to lay off 30,000 teachers." I was just stunned and seethed. I know I should have called him on the violation, recorded his name and made sure his job was at risk for this violation. Too many years in the Bay Area has made me cautious when outnumbered.
