If California leadership fails, guess who will be ready and willing to take over? They are already here - The Terminator, Boxer. Feinstein, Waxman, Newsome, Villagarosa the state assembly and senate. They continue to fail this state economically. The voters have now warned the socialists to stop the BS. We'll see what happens. The voters told the big unions you no longer get your way without a serious fight. The voters also told the big media your support for the propositions was wrong headed. Beside whining, let's see if they will actually make some difficult decisions to reduce the cost of state government. Today, too many Americans are unwilling to sacrifice to save their own country. That will not change because the two party animals in the WH are not leading by example. I was never a fan of Carter, but at least he wore a sweater when he encouraged thrifty energy use in peoples homes. We must take a serious look in the mirror. The yuppie parents and today's helicopter parents have completely spoiled their children. I suppose it is nice when one can do that. However, we all need to learn about the word sacrifice and what it really means. Sacrifice is not downsizing the latte you purchase at Starbucks. Sacrifice is not having to wait for an IPOD until next year. Sacrifice is supporting your military by enlisting. Sacrifice is taking the time to try make your state and federal political representatives accountable to their constituency. Sacrifice is taking the time to attend a Tea Party to express your views about your country's leadership. Sacrifice is taking the time to call out your local newspaper when they tell you that their opinions and the opinion page is your bible and you "must obey" or be a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a zealot, a denier or a a greedy bastard. Sacrifice is not something that can be accomplished in "a New York minute". It is show me the money time in America and Obama gets it better than anyone. This month he bought the loyalty, indeed the souls, of millions of Social Security recipients for $250 each. And he didn't even have the money. He simply used our paper and our ink and had the money printed. $250, at the price of no increase the next two years. This may actually hurt Obama. I personally believe one of the greatest threats to America is the "distraction". Between Obama's near daily speeches to control the news and to further the media love fest, the television networks ENDLESS stream of mindless reality shows added to the almost 24/7 parade of sports events and musical extravaganzas in the various STAPLES CENTERs around the country, the average person just "don't have time for the political stuff". There was a laser like concentration on the terrorist issue for a few months, maybe even a year after 9/11 occurred and for about one year after we hit Iraq and Afghanistan. That was it - everything back to normal. And so here we are today. Gives one a warm and fuzzy feeling inside, huh?

Interesting times we live in….and depressing only if we let that happen. One one hand today we see: IRAN TESTS ADVANCED SURFACE-TO-SURFACE MISSILE... GATES: SUCCESSFUL... 'PLAYING WITH FIRE'... While on the other hand we see: Dems seek financial rescue of minority-owned broadcasters... I thought of Eric Hoffer…a man not educated in Harvard nor Yale, nor any of the Ivys…but rather self educated man who worked as a longshoreman, and read every free minute he could find…. Obama isn’t in his league, nor does he deserve to be. Obama is filled with envy and hate…..Hoffer offered his views and is well known for them. He offered real hope to man, while Obama offers fear. A dissenting minority feels free only when it can impose its will on the majority: what it abominates most is the dissent of the majority.
