GM is now referred to as Obama's company.

Not by that many, and I don't really consider it ridiculous to do so. The Obama administration is to a greater and greater extent controlling GM and Chrysler, to the extent of determining warranty polices and advertising budgets.

As for never buying a car from them, well I wouldn't go that far, but I'm less likely to buy a car from a government bailed out and to an extent controlled company. It might be a minor factor for me, but if having it be a major factor for some helps discourage such bailouts in the future that would be a plus as far as I'm concerned. But in reality I don't think it will have a major impact. The number of people who will solely or mostly determine their car buying from this is probably pretty small.
