Personally, I'd build the grid, build the solar/wind, build more nukes, build the electric cars, and continue to burn coal. I think we're gonna need it all and more to replace crude over the next 20-25 years.

certainly makes sense to electrify trains and build nukes and new coal plants...but cap and tax is a scheme to not so nickle and dime everyone who breathes in the u.s....i saw his comments as those of another oligarch with his snout buried deeply at the taxpayer trough and found his 'save the newspapers' (wait, he's a TREE hugger? do we not see a conflict there?<g>) as perhaps a twinge of guilt knowing obama is the pocket of the greentechs and he stands to profit insanely from it while the archaic dead tree media fails....

interesting mix of luddite-ism and advocacy of tech dominance

I liked Picken's & McClendon 's call for natural gas for transportation- I don't know why it doesn't get more attention.
