Yes folks, the international markets have engaged in a bidding war, each raising the other in a high stakes poker match to determine who can sustain the largest single day percent loss.

On a brighter note, it would appear that some of the recently beaten up Semi stocks (off up to 50% of recent highs) held up well today, loosing as little as 5% compared to the 7% posted by the broader market.

Be forwarned that the downward spiral kicked off by short selling of futures could reverse itself quickly as short sellers cover their positions.
