GM: you state: > Remember that this selling is not driven by company valuation > etc. It is driven by fear only. By the laws of nature and basics of being a human fear is short lived while the greed lasts much longer! Stocks of premium high tech companies are practically being thrown out the door for absolutely no good reason all because of Hong Kong's insignificant economy (in size as compare to the US or Japan or for that matter most free enterprise driven countries)? Fundamentally that is absolutely ridiculous! I will be peaking into a portion of my reserved cash - the money set aside for emergency - (with my wife's permission of course!) and will be buying more of SUNW, and IBM tomorrow after what I expect to be an initial and continuation of the big idiotic sell off! And after thinking and re-thinking it over, I am also planning to buy some MSFT shares if I can get them at $125.5/shr (despite the fact that I really wanted to buy them at $118 range, but I think $125-$126/shr is OK). I think after all the nonesense with law suits are settled, Microsoft will continue to dance around Sun. Its growth will be through the following: First its continued attempt of penetrating into media and telecommunications, and secondly its direct products targeted to take advantage of Sun's computing model. Its Web TV, and NT server are going to enjoy a nice growth both in terms of revenue and earnings from Sun's thin client computing model. However I continue to think that percentage wise SUNW and IBM shares will have a much much higher returns from this point on than those of MSFT shares. But to be diversified in the new computing era of Sun, I have really come to think that MSFT shares may also provide some value at these levels. As always just my humble opinion and not an investment advice. However one thing I can by confident and without hesitation say: Take advantage of market's fears in order to gain from its greed later! And always remember, fear is short lived, while greed lasts a long long time! Regards, Addi Jamshidi
