Should I laugh or cry????

I still recall the outrage from the Dems when the Pubs (Bush) proposed partially privitizing social security. You can never trust the stock market they howled. Of course they are correct. Taking the other side, one can never trust the government either, as we see that the social security surplus will vanish in about three years.

The liberals used to complain that during the Reagan years, the elderly had to eat dog food. I don't know whether that happened or not - the howling certainly did. I think we are in for a repeat.

I am thankful that I know to short US Treasuries. Thank you Messrs Roubini, Rogers and Faber.

Memo to self: Research shorting Alpo. One the one hand, demand will rise. On the other, so will the price of animal stocks as the insane ethanol mandate continues. Messrs Rogers, and Faber keep pushing the agricultural commodities. Might be some good arbitrage there.
