I'm convinced the whole gay marriage movement is a front to put religious institutions out of business. Oh, they want them around, they just want them to glorify their position. Acceptance of their lifestyle is not enough anymore. You must be forced admire it.

I'm convinced the whole gay marriage movement is a front to put religious institutions out of business. Only conspiracy theory I subscribe to. Its why civil unions aren't good enough for 'em. Haven't you noticed how important symbolism is to the whole left? They will take it above substance. It's exactly what has gotten Obama into trouble over Gitmo. In the case of gays, I understand their desire to have every element of society and the state define them as part of 'normal'. I may not think that they have thought through the consequences, but I understand it.
