The annual death rate from AIDS is about 12,000 in the US, some of whom are IV drug users, not gay men.

Obesity: "According to former US Surgeon General David Satcher, obesity counts for 300,000 premature deaths per year. Obesity raises our risk for heart disease, diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure, cancer and other chronic diseases."

>>Being male and homosexual is unhealthy too, AIDS is a terrible killer and raises the cost of health care.<<

GS -

That's a specious argument. The fact that there is a disease that has spread among the gay community doesn't make male homosexuality itself unhealthy.

Cancer is also a terrible killer that raises the costs of healthcare. It strikes humans. Does that mean that being human is unhealthy?
