Hi Flack,

"the far right edge.
This is the point of engagement, the point that separates the traders from the wannabes."

The far right edge or decision point where you try to make your play based upon your perusing of the market tea leaves.

Thats where the trigger gets pulled and where the next stage in trading comes into play, risk management. Depending on the timeframe established for the specific trade scalp, daytrade, swing, or position the same criteria comes into effect just with some different parameters and loss limits.

When entering a position its always best to know what you intend to lose and cut that loss if the trade isn't working out as it can always be put on again. The markets have always been a great teacher of humility, so even if things don't go according to your plan, there is always another trade if you can protect your capital.

I have always traded from a fundamental standpoint bias in putting on long or short positions, but always look at the TA and charts to get the big picture.

You have to put in a lot of homework if you want to survive in this game and try and trade when things from both FA & TA are in agreement as much as possible with your own conclusions for a better winning percentage either long or short.

Good Trading to all,

dealmakr

Thank you Flack and Chichi for the input and dialog about trading. Nice to see the exchange.
My plans are to get reacquainted with reading charts and trading fundamentals. I will do this over the next few months. I want to keep it simple as I feel that is the best technique. I will focus on a few sectors and overall market and look for just a piece of the pie. What if I post my paper trade and thoughts? Maybe we could get others to add input. I know I would benefit from all who see what I am doing. Just a thought.

yo flack,,,, i know you're in contact with lakeoffice,,, would you ask him if he has a contact telephone # or address where one might try to find out the well being of drbob??? i say this cuz i know lake took the online course from him waaaay back in the "old" days,,,,,

i for one am concerned,,,,,

tia,,,,,

ô¿ô

psstttt,,,,, o.k.,,,, here's one for the board,,,,, take a look at gpre,,,,, this company started in my hometown which is the reason i began paying attention to it,,,,,

they are in the ethanol business which doesn't really float my boat, but it's what they are gettin into that excites me,,,,

they have just received a grant to build what i believe is the 1st process (at least in the u.s.) to turn algae into oil,,,,, it has been said that if the u.s. took 10% of nevada and turned it into this algae process, we would be fully independent of foreign oil,,,,, and they take the by-products from the ethanol process to do part of this,,,,,

they have just announced the acquisition of 2 bankrupt ethanol plants in ne. from verasun,,,,, (which is the reason for the "pop" today),,,,,,,

they plan to start the initial building of the plant in the next few months,,,,

of course this is not a recommendation at all so do your own dd thoroughly as this alternative fuel market is rife with losers,,,,,,

disclosure,,,,, long gpre,,,,,

good luck,,,,,,,,,,,,
