CA voters wanted the services they receive, but they don't want to PAY for the services. That's the problem in CA.

I posted earlier today that the outcome didn't surprise me; that I could have written the script weeks ago. Californians have been playing this clever game since at least the 1970s.....where they refuse to pay the going price for gov't services. Throughout that time, the gov't has been able to continue functioning by cutting back wherever they could find some fat. Plus, the state's high growth rate masked the shortfalls as well. Well the growth rate has slowed measurably and the state is down to muscle. Arnold knows that....that's why he is being so compliant. Let's see how Californians react to the cuts that are coming down. I suspect the next election they will vote everyone out of office. When that doesn't work, they might have to deal with reality.
