I believe J&J purchased the company for what they valued the drug for. There are all sorts of biotechs that have pipelines and platform technologies are far bigger than Cougar's who's market caps are far below a billion. Two companies I'm invested in that fall into this category are IMGN and GNVC, but there are many others. While their prostate cancer drug's in early Phase III, I gather that the Phase II results were quite good. If the company contributes no more then one approved drug, they'll end up billions of dollars ahead on this deal. Gary
