"That his rhetoric never matches his actions because he chooses his rhetoric to counterbalance his actions."

I tell my friends not to listen to the beautiful words but to watch the devious actions. I found all of the pontificating on the rule of law yesterday as laughable after the Chrysler bail out.

Sadly, all of those once taken by the beautiful words have not had the light come on yet to the reality of Obama.

Thus, when conservatives hear him sound like a leftist, as in his national security speech, they should actually be relieved because it means that he intends to keep the Bush policies unchanged. But when he sounds reasonable and centrist, as in his economic pronouncements, then hang onto your wallets!

Wow! You cracked the puzzle.

Obama does seem to characterize what he's doing or advocating as the opposite of what it is. His claims about the Porkulus bill are quite illustrative. He alleged that his fiscal responsibility was embraced by this bill.

Well, it actually was, but not in the way he intimated.

I wish that Obama would simply straight out tell people what he is doing. Instead, he plays word games so that the less informed think he is far more moderate and less dangerous than he is.

Obama's use of rhetoric to mesmerize and bamboozle suggests that he knows the majority of people would not go along if they knew the truth.

btw, this definition seems eerily applicable:
