Hank, A lot can be said for down markets. Dow 1736 in '87 to over 8000 before it hit its top. Not too shabby.

McNabb, You read my mind about the brokers. I called mine today about 1:00 and asked him about the panic and margin calls. I consider my self fortunate because of fate I am short two stocks (dell and lss) and long a very small position. In 87 I did okay by trying to judge when panic took hold, when my broker called concerning his last margined customer, I started to look to buy. I am going to dabble a small amount on the long position again when this occurs. Good LUck to all.
