I'd still like to see someone like Tim Kane or someone else not far from the White House to start repeating, where was Cheney last fall when the voters were deciding these issues? Why is he so strident now after his movement was totally defeated, and he has no accountability to the voters?

The people spoke last fall on neocon foreign policies. 'Nuff said. Get the cable pundits repeating that meme and see how it flies.

>>I still can't decide whether it was good political strategy for the Obama folk to deliberately schedule his speech yesterday on the same day as Cheney's. The argument is that they wanted to keep Cheney and Limbaugh as the face of the Reps. And it certainly did that. But it also gave Cheney much more media prominence for his arguments than he would otherwise get.<<

John -

Considering how specious his arguments are, giving them a wider airing is not to Cheney's advantage.
