This Dem talking point about being able to house dangerous prisoners safely (Pres. Obama, VP Biden, and Sen. Durbin all used it, so it's official) is a particularly infuriating straw man. According to a Republican Congressman on Fox News yesterday (I've forgotten his name) an issue as great as housing them safely is our ability to safeguard the guards' identities so that Al Quaida-type folks can't target them or their families. Apparently that's something we can do at G'tmo, but probably not in CONUS.
