What you apparently cannot figure out is that this problem will take care of itself. As gasoline gets more expensive, people will seek out alternatives.

You don't just hand the country over to fascists because of a reliance on outside resources. Those reliances are short-term, and can be handled by resourceful people.

There is no true escape from fascism. You essentially have to burn the place down and start over again. It isn't something you want to play with.

I for one am glad someone is finally taking these issues on. Energy, on its own, has the country in a vise...dependence on foreign oil has gone from 30% to 70%. Fascism my ass...

That makes me feel much better. We may live in a fascist state, but we will be energy independent.
