what if with notice they strip the copper and trash the place?

I thought the constables were quite callous as well. They wouldn't spend any extra time of their own to give those people a chance to get their things out. If I was throwing someone out on no notice, I'd at least have the decency to help them and stay a few extra minutes to help them get their things out before it's locked up.
