I would think pork prices would take a sharp dip here from the Swine flu nonsense (to be followed by a sharp rise later in the year). I oughta be filling the freezer with baby backs and a pork shoulder or two.....

If anyone REALLY cares, here's the weekly ad for my local Kroger affiliate. Pretty good stuff if you 'shop the ads'.

The most recent prices I paid for things include:

New York Strip Steak - $2.69/lb. (I had to buy the whole 10# loin)

Boneless Pork Loin - $1.39/lb.
Ground Round - $1.99/lb.
Milk - $1.49/gallon
Chunk Cheddar Cheese - $2.50/lb.
Eggs $0.98/doz.
Edible Underwear - ??

(I didn't buy that last one, but someone in my office once told us it tastes like fruit roll-up).
