Interesting thoughts. Yes, I guess I would classify an inheritance as different from money that you've bled tears and sweat for. I'd like for families to be able to leave something to their kids, but don't we also want to guard against the creation of a nobility class in this country? When folks like Bill Gates makes $70B, I'm all for it. However, he should pay his fair share of taxes. His children didn't earn that money, he did. So when it pass down to them, I'm all for a stiff tax above a certain amount like $5M.

Look, here's what drives me nuts about Dems. If you want your entitlements like social security, then you have to pay for it somehow. That usually means increased taxes. One way to raise those taxes is to increase taxes on rich people. If you don't like that, then let's start cutting back on all of our entitlements and safety nets. You can't have it both ways.

Sheesh. It's like that crazy Fienstien standing in the way of solar power development in the desert. Let's start thinking of the greater good for a change.
