That seems unlikely, as the Globe is not going
back to the gold standard. Perhaps, we'll see regulatory
efforts, baskets of currencies, suggestions to improve
policy making and economic theory, etc.

Globalization trend is not going away either, and much
lower cost of labor will keep shifting manufacturing
and services to these economies until they grow to a reasonable
equillibrium level of prosperity at the expense of
the living standard in developed world. The
quality of manufacturing process remains better in the
developed world. In the next 20 years we will likely see
BRIC countries reach a reasonable standard of living - perhaps,
still somewhat lower than in the developed world.

No, India and China are not economic powerhouses about
to overtake US. The standard of living is still extremely
low there, something like ... below 5 K per year GDP/capita.
