I don't see it that way. Perhaps, after 8 years of the rampant corruption and criminality of the Bush administration, I'm willing to give Obama a break. However, Geithner has done a good job and has since paid all the taxes he owed. That is something you ignore as well.

Something you also don't realize is that it is fairly common for people who have a lot of money to underestimate the tax payments they should make during the year. Then at the end of the year they owe taxes. Most of the time, they get an accountant to redo their taxes to see if that is the case, during which time, they would owe back taxes accruing interest. If this person was running for a government office, I'm sure their opponents would call attention to this as alleged proof of their breaking the law. The reality is that they are simply going through a legal process to get taxes paid back, if that is found to be the case. That's probably what happened with Geithner, the proof of which is that his taxes now are all paid up.
