Greenhouse effect is a physical change caused by, in this case, by various gases. It traps heat in the atmosphere, resulting in a warming planet. Indeed. One is a cause and the other is a result. One is a contributing factor and the other is an end state. The contributing factor is not conceptually the same thing as the resulting state. Since diet is a factor that contributes to strong bones, would you insist that diet is the same thing as strong bones? I would hope not.
