Most funeral units send a bugler. I know USMC has done it at all the funerals I have seen with Honor Guard. A friend of mine had USMC Honor Guard and our Department Honor Guard. Fr taps the two buglers played together. The USMC Honor Guard also marched in to our bag pipers music. It was all very well done and extremely touching. The worked together like clock work.
