I think there is a good chance that DOW will open and immediately drop the the point whereby it would trigger the circuit breaker and stop for 30 minutes; then open again and then close for the day...
Hang Seng has dropped 1700 points or 16%

I'm not a great fan of this not opening markets. Often it just creates more panic and desparation.

It is now 2pm in the Tokyo afternoon, and 30% odd of the stocks have not opened yet (still suspended selling).

Because of this, the futures are at 16100 and the stock index is 16300, and they normally trade flat. If a stock hasn't opened, it's previous days close is used in calculating the index!

Actually, the Nikkei is holding up better than most.
