They are doomed also because Obama is going to have them make cars Americans wont buy now or in the future.

We'll see. The old (private) leadership didn't make cars that Americans wanted to buy either. I recall visiting my parents in a large FL gated community back in the late 80s, early 90s where there only American cars--almost all higher end Ford and GM. By 2000 or so, Japanese cars overwhelmingly dominated the same parking lots. These are people who cared about reliability more than the money.

They wont succeed I am afraid because now they know they dont have to.

Actually, I think they believe that they do have to succeed. The unions, the government and the management all have a great deal to lose if they fail.

As usual, time will tell. It will probably take 3-5 years for a fair assessment.
