I do believe that there is other life in the universe, even other intelligent life. They may have developed space ships that could have visited us. But the universe is just SO immense and intelligent life likely so rare that this is very, VERY unlikely. The speed of light limitation is a major problem. Science fiction solves it with "warp drive" - but it's FICTION.. Even our first radio transmissions, traveling AT the speed of light, probably haven't reached anyone to hear them, in 100 years.
